Rather make regular checks of your exhaust, including looking for corrosion of the pipes, part of your car maintenance routine. If your exhaust system is louder or the fumes seem stronger than usual, there could be something wrong. Have it checked out before the problem gets any bigger. Keep in mind that if you have a faulty exhaust system, the entire system of your car will be affected especially your fuel consumption levels.
