Importance of good plastering

Plastering is the last stage in construction before the interior decorating begins.  It is therefore very important to make sure that you get a good a finish as possible, especially indoors.  Some plasterers are able to give the skim layer of plaster a real sheen which may not need to be painted. This is very hard to achieve though, and most people decide to paint the wall afterwards or decorate with wallpaper.  For outside plastering such as garden walls, it may not be so important to get a sheen, but a finish without cracks is important so that water cannot penetrate. read more
